Finally
Hey, friends! I know you have all been waiting with bated breath for me to create my blog, so here it is! Fancy, I know. Soon I'll have real posts waiting for you to read, and hopefully they'll be more interesting than this one. I promise to do my very best to update this regularly (depending on my internet access in Peru), and I warn you that I plan to be open and real in what I write. Please understand that I am going to struggle, doubt, and be nervous while I'm on mission in Peru, and that it's not always going to be exciting, amazing adventures that I recount on my blog. Hopefully there will be many exciting, amazing adventures, but I know that there will be difficulties as well. Just keep praying, and please comment on my posts so that I know you're reading! As my friend Catie says, the fee for reading my blog is at least one comment :).

I'm glad you got your blog up! I plan on being an avid reader this summer. I'm also starting to pray for you every day; I know that God is going to do some incredible things through you and your team. Have safe travels!
ReplyDeleteKimbo,
ReplyDeleteYou will only be far away from the people you love and that love you in miles. Our hearts and spirits will be snugged right up next to yours. And God will be in the same proximity to you that He is always-IN YOUR HEART. It's going to be a wonderful and blessed adventure!..LYWAMHAAMGB-Mom
Kim,
ReplyDeleteYou are an amazing person with an amazing heart. Plus I find you quite interesting! Of course I will read and re-read your blogs as if you were speaking and I could hear your voice. Please do not hesitate on the openness. We are all here to listen to whatever tales, stories, or adventures you may want to wright. However, I bet that most of the people reading you messages would love to hear from you no matter what you have to say. :P I feel almost like waiting in line at a bookstore for one of my soon to be favorite books! I truly am excited about hearing of the summer of Kim's Travels!
This is Kimberly's mom...Kimberly (Kim) to most of you) landed safely in Peru on Monday and has been learning and connecting with her team and others the last few days. She is in her training camp outside of Lima at this time and will be leaving for her first mountain village on Saturday the 30th. She has been told internet access is available in the mountains, but that it is extremely slow and therefore her blog may suffer some neglect. We are in touch daily until she leaves for the mountains and I will try to update periodically when she is unable. Please continue your prayers for her safety and God's use of her. She loves and misses all of you, but is very excited and enthusiastic for her upcoming journey!
